Edna Mae Forbes

Edna Mae Forbes, age 69, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Quitman, Texas. She was born on Thurday, February 4, 1943 in Houston, Texas to the late Elroy and Virginia Forbes. She was a drug and alcohol abuse counselor and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Quitman. She was a member of the Mineola League of the Arts and a Past President of the Quilting Guild and also a standing Board Member.

She is survived by a son, Dale Bates of Texas City, Texas; two daughters, Renee Bates Hartweg and husband Bruce of Rowlett, Texas and Billy Bates Sproul of Rowlett; a brother, Eddie Forbes of Angleton, Texas; a sister, Joyce Bownds of Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Valerie Ann Hartweg, Melissa Renee Hartweg, Kyle Alexander Sproul and Bryce Mitchell Sproul.

Visitation for Ms. Forbes will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Quitman on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Bishop Mark Peterson officiating.
