Edward Quinton Hearn

March 27, 1931 — January 6, 2009

MINEOLA - Private graveside services for Edward Q. "Sonny" Hearn, 77, Mineola, will be Saturday at Cedar Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Maurice Barnes officiating. Arrangements are with Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.


Mr. Hearn died Jan. 6, 2009, in Mineola.


He was born March 27, 1931, in Fort Worth to the late Quinton and Agnes Jordan Hearn. He lived in Mineola most of his life and served in the Air Force. He retired as a Texaco consignee in Mineola, and after retiring lived in Arkansas for 12 years prior to moving back to Mineola. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mineola.


Survivors include his wife, Nita Young Hearn, Mineola; sons, John L. Hearn, Texas, and Steven Hearn, Mineola; daughter, Angelia Chaney, Woodville; stepdaughters, Debra McKinley, Rebecca Janotti and Celinda Landrum; brother, William R. "Baba" Hearn, Virginia; sister, Pamela Stanley, Dallas; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.


Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
