Edward L Nichols

Mr. Edward "Leon" Nichols, age 84 of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was born in the Cartwright Community on February, 3, 1928 to the late Homer, and Oma Bellomy Nichols. He was a retired service station owner, and former owner of the Purley Store, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail Chaffin Nichols on September 3, 1990; and a brother, Aubrey Nichols. He is survived by a son, Jeff Nichols of Winnsboro; daughters, Alice Haney of Winnsboro, Cindy Gatlin of Longview; brother, Durell Nichols and wife Edna of Gun Barrell City; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
