Edwina Bernadette Harris

Edwina Harris was born on Saturday, Sept. 5,1925, in San Francisco, CA, and passed peacefully on Thursday, Oct 27th, 2022 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and John Prewitt, her loving caregivers for the past 5 years, in Quitman AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E Higuera, and Madge D Sanders and

by her adoptive parents, paternal Uncle and Aunt, Joseph and Gracier Enos.

She grew up in San Francisco, San Luis Obispo (SLO), and Oakland CA.

Edwina was educated in a nearby Catholic school and graduated 12th grade. She was even advanced a year, something she was proud of, but always mystified her!

Edwina was predeceased by former husbands, Clarence E McNeil and Charles R Harris.

She is survived by former husband, and father of her 4 children, George M Saiz Sr.

Children: Linda Bartram (John Frank) Seattle WA, Martha Prewitt (John) Quitman AR, Michael Saiz (Nancy) Prescott Valley AZ, George M Saiz, Jr (Suzette) Carlsbad CA.

Grand Children: Barbara Carter (Rob), Malinda Michael, Debra Ray, Tracie Michael (Danny Samarjian), James Michael (Erin), Lisa Lawrie (Mike), Shanyn Loughridge (Frank), Mike Saiz (Clarissa), Jordan Saiz, Garrett Saiz.

The family will receive friends at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be Friday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home with burial to follow at Smyrna Cemetery.
