E.J. Clayton

E.J. Clayton, 89, of Quitman, TX passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Quitman, TX. He was born on Friday, February 26, 1926 in Wood County, TX.

Mr. Clayton was a member of First Assembly of God in Quitman, TX and he was married for sixty eight and a half years to his late wife Mary Alice Clayton.

He is also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother and one sister and one great-great grandson Carter Ray.

He is survived by his son, Larry Clayton of Quitman, TX; daughter, Regina Tarrant and husband Danny of Quitman, TX; four grandchildren; Larry Clayton Jr., Melanie Eiland, Brax Tarrant, Nikki McKinney and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:00 am officiated by Rev. Jerry Harvey and Rev. Ken Otwell. Internment will follow at Yantis cemetery.
