Elizabeth (Allen) Brown of Winnsboro, Texas passed away with her devoted family by her side on April 10, 2020. Mrs. Brown was born to the late Mack Henry and Lula (Bridges) Allen in Winnsboro on March 24, 1932. She was a life-long resident of Winnsboro and made numerous friends and memories in her hometown. Elizabeth married Jimmy Bruce Brown on December 6, 1950 and the two of them shared a love that lasted over 60 years, before his passing in 2011. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, a teacher's aide for Winnsboro ISD and the director of childcare at First Baptist Church for 20 years. People will tell you that Mrs. Brown was well known for her remarkable skill at alterations. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Bruce and son-in-law Don Coleman. Mrs. Brown is survived by her son Phillip Brown and wife Laura; daughter Patricia Coleman, daughter Phillis Stone and husband Donnie; brother Max Earl Allen and wife Linda; grandchildren Cara Porcelli and husband Phillip, D'Lytha Myers and husband Nathan, Ashley Stone, Emily Noble and husband Dewayne, Holy Wasson and husband Austin; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. The family will hold a private service on Tuesday, April 14th at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery.
