Elizabeth Chitsey

Mrs. Elizabeth Chitsey passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the age of 95. She was born on April 22, 1918, in Winnsboro, Texas to the late Sam Cowser and Vera Stinson Cowser. Mrs. Chitsey was a retired bookkeeper, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro. She married Mr. Cy Berthiaume on June 19, 1943 in San Antonio and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1970. She later married Mr. John Chitsey on September 3, 1976 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1997. Mrs. Chitsey was also preceded in death by her son, David Berthiaume and sister-in-law, Shirley Cowser. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Karen Berthiaume of Omaha, NE, and Don and Kathy Berthiaume of Littleton, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jerry Hearron of Mt. Pleasant and Debbie and Jackie McClenan of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Bill Cowser of St. George, UT, Jack Cowser and wife Gloria of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
