Elizabeth Ann Gross, age 76 of Mineola, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Mineola. She was born on August 28, 1945 in Crow, Texas to the late George Phillip Ray and Jessie Lou Caldwell Ray.
Elizabeth known to many as “Ann” was a kind and gentle person who cared deeply for others. She kept up with family and friends and was often the grapevine to relay information if someone was sick or hurt. She loved people and would flash the brightest smile when someone came to visit.
She enjoyed word finds, movies, cross stitch, and spending time with loved ones. It was an honor to receive one of her hand stitched baby blankets. Faith was important to her and she attended church as often as she was able.
All who knew Elizabeth have fond memories and she will be greatly missed.
Ann was a retired nurse aide and was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Ray and sister, Kathy Watai.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Thompson and husband, Kevin of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, Perry Ray and his wife, Charlette of Crow, Texas and five grandchildren, Ashley, Stephen, Megan, Brian, and Jason, three nieces and their husbands and children, Tisha Blackman and husband David, Christy Peters and husband Greg, Becky Thomas and husband BJ, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Smith Memorial Cemetery 146 CR 3691 Big Sandy, Texas at 11:00 pm, Bro. David Bethel conducting.
