Elmon Lloyd Woods

Elmon Lloyd "Buddy" Woods, age 85, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Saturday, March 5, 1927 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Robert and Mabel Woods. He was a retired missionary to 3 countries and a deacon at Holly Brook Baptist Church. He was a specialist to R.A.'s and G.A.'s at summer camps and was affectionately known as "Uncle Buddy".

He is preceded in death by his wife Joann Woods; and two brothers, Clyde Woods and Leo Woods; and one grandchild, Trevor Woods.

He is survived by a son, Tony Woods and wife Marsha of Holly Lake Ranch; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Holly Brook Baptist Church at Holly Lake Ranch on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Guy McGraw officiating.

Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Texas.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mrs. Teresa Ndiweni, a Christian widow with two small children, from Zimbabwe. Donations may be made through Holly Brook Baptist Church.
