Eloise Besa Sanchez

June 18, 1943 — January 4, 2025

Eloise Besa Sanchez, 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18, 1943, to the late Andres and Maria Teresa Besa in San Antonio, Texas, Eloise embraced life with an infectious joy and a generous heart.


On August 9, 1964, Eloise married the love of her life, Leonard Sanchez. Together, they built a beautiful family and became cherished members of their church community. Eloise's life was a testament to faith, love, and service. She devoted countless hours to her church, offering her time and talents in praise and worship to the Lord.


A gifted and creative soul, Eloise was known for her talent as a woodworker and her love of crafting thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Her creations, often imbued with her personality and warmth, brought joy to those around her. In her later years, she embraced the sport of pickleball, delighting in the camaraderie and fun it offered.


Eloise is survived by her children, Leonard R. Sanchez Jr.; Natalie Anne and Scott Kruszewski and Allison Kay Sanchez and Matthew Maggard; brother, Andy Besa Sr. sisters, Terry Besa Barbosa, Angie Besa Wilson, Pauline Besa, and Mary Besa Lorea; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.


She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Sanchez Sr.; her parents, Andres and Maria Teresa Besa; her son, Joshua Sanchez; her brothers, Arthur Besa and Frank Besa Sr.; and her sister, Alice Besa Gamez.


Eloise will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of faith, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
