Elton Laverne Swann

Mr. Elton Laverne Swann, age 91 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1921 in the East Point Community to the late James Alphonso and Ivy Mae Moss Swann. He was a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Jo Bradshaw Swann on July 6, 1989; a son, Donald L.. Swann; great-granddaughter, Katy Shannon Swann; and four sisters, and three brothers. He is survived by a son, Jim Swann and wife Vickie of Winnsboro; daughters, Brenda Lewallen of Little Elm, Regina Coventry and husband Larry of Quitman; brothers, Arville Swann of Winnsboro, Dorman Swann of Winnsboro, Eugene Swann of Lewisville; one sister, Joy Walsh of Winnsboro; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
