Emory Denton Ellenburg

Mr. Emory Denton Ellenburg, Jr., age 87 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born on Wednesday, May 26, 1926 in Wylie, TX to the late Emory Denton Ellenburg, Sr. and Genevieve Gallagher Ellenburg. He was a retired electrician, and a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul Ellenburg, and Leonard Brooks Ellenburg; and a sister, Helen Faye Jennings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nell Ellenburg of Winnsboro; daughters,Cynthia Gail Ellenburg Dykes of Blossom, Rita Beth Ellenburg Wimberley of Dallas; brother, Ralph Ellenburg of Wylie; sister, Annie Sue Ellenburg Harrison of Wylie; four grandchildren, Steve Brandon Dykes, Kyle Jeffrey Dykes, Jay Daryl Dykes, Madelyne Nicole Wimberley; five great-grandchildren, Nolan Willis Dykes, Kayleigh Lynn Upchurch, Emory Diane Dykes, Jaxon Daryl Dykes, Weston Howard Dykes. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Winnsboro Church of Christ. Interment will be at Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro, Texas Winnsboro, TX 75494. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Beaty Funeral Home , 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, Texas.
