Erma I. Helsel

Mrs. Erma Ivey Helsel, age 91 of Quitman, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Quitman. Erma was born in Sulphur Springs on October 1, 1923 to the late Thomas Delaney and Jewel Ivey. She was a former nurses aide, a homemaker, a member of the Red Hatters, the Rebekah's, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and First Baptist Church of Quitman. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Delaney; mother, Jewell Ivey Neighbors; her first husband, Mr. John R. Crabb; second husband, Stephen D. Helsel; half-brother, Johnny Neighbors. She is survived by her son, Wayne Crabb and wife Linda of Quitman; half brothers, Lon Neighbors and wife Pat of Quitman, Don Neighbors of Quitman; grandsons, Steve Crabb, Jerry Crabb, Michael Crabb, Brian Crabb; and eight great-grandchildren.
