Mr. Ernest Robert Grona, age 93 of Lindale, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 in Lindale. He was born on December 20th, 1925 in Fredericksburg, Texas to the late Henry Grona and Katie Jung Grona. He was retired from Eastman Kodak Company and was a Navy Veteran, having served on the USS California during WWII.

Ernest was preceded in death by loving wife of 69 years, May Roy Grona, He is survived by his son Patrick Grona and wife, Susie of Hideaway; sister, Jean Schloemer of New Port Beach; two grandchildren, Katie Grona and Jacob Grona.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2019 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola 3 at 11:00 am, Chaplain Ed Secrest conducting.
