E. John Osmonson, 90, of Mineola TX passed away Sunday November 14, 2021.
John was born in Morris, IL and was the son of Wilda (Rudolph) Vidosh and Ernest (Florence) Osmonson. He graduated from Morris Community High School.
He married Maxine LaGesse September 20, 1951 at St Patrick’s Church in Kankakee IL. John and Maxine had two daughters Michelle Lynn and Karen Irene. They moved to Aurora IL. They later divorced and he married Charlotte Scudder September 19, 1982 in IL. They later moved to TX and he worked for many years at Texas Instruments until his retirement. He and Char were married for 31 years until her passing on October 13, 2013.
He was a member of the Free Masons and Nights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, whittling wood, collecting antiques and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle McDonagh of Stevens Point, WI
Step-daughter Carolyn (Nathan) Sams, Step-sons William James Brown Jr, Stephen Harold (Denise) Brown, Brett Douglas, and Brian Patrick Brown.
Sister Carol (James) Day.
Grandchildren Shawn Heinz, William (Jessica) Heinz, Dennis Heinz, Melissa McDonagh, Royal (Erin) McDonagh, and Bret (Renata) Heinz. Step-grandchildren Stephanie Daproza Hogue, Dane Daproza, Rory Sams, Matthew Brown, Ramone Resop, Darlene Cook, Tucker Brown, Brian Brown, and Anthony Brown.
Seventeen great-grandchilden, Seventeen Step-great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen, wife Charlotte, mother Wilda, father Ernest, Step-father Rudolph, brother David, son-in-law Royal McDonagh, grandmother Daisy (Watson) Quinn, grandfather Neal Quinn and Uncle Jack Quinn.
