Esther Minnie Simpson

Esther "Mickey" Minnie Hamby Simpson, age 102 formerly of Winnsboro passed away, Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Hurst. She was born in Copperhill, TN., on December 22, 1905 to the late Julius Lafayette and Parilee Josephine McNabb Hamby. She was aretired property manager, and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moody Mims Simpson on Christmas Day 1989; one daughter, Betty Lou Simpson Kojac; one son, Donald Moody Simpson. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Simpson Phillips of Ft. Worth; one brother, Bill Hamby of Boise, ID.; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be, Larry Shawn, Larry Phillips, Rodney Phillips, Jeremy Wickwire, and George Teskey.
