Evelyn Elizabeth Robertson

Mrs. Evelyn Elizabeth Robertson died July 15, 2008 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 99. She was born June 9, 1909 in Winnsboro, Texas to the late James William Sellers and Clemmie Iola Browning Robertson. She had lived in Tyler since 1994 and prior to that she lived in Mineola for 33 years.She was a housewife and a mother, and also taught school in Winnsboro, Texas for several years. She served as Nursery Supervisor at the Central Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas for several years in the 1950's and 1960's. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the Wood County Historical Society, the Order Of the Eastern Star in Marshall, the Helping Hands in Wood County and she was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robertson was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Robertson; by a son, Jerry Wayne Robertson; by a stepson, Cecil D. Robertson; a stepdaughter, Kathalyn Baker; by two sisters, Helen Bennett and Novelle Little; and by three brothers, J. W. Sellers, Fred Sellers, and Ralph Sellers; She is survived by one daughter, Greta Spearey of Tyler, Texas; she is also survived by three grandchildren, eight great grandchildrren and eight great great grandchildren.
