Florence Marie Byars

Florence Marie Byars, age 79 of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Mt. Vernon. She was born on December 14, 1943 in Richmond, California to the late Aubrey Lee Perry, Sr. and Bertha Sutton Perry.

Florence was a retired seamstress and longtime resident of the Mt. Vernon and Winnsboro area.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Savannah Moore and Andrea Cook and great grandson, Elijah Reid.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Byars of Winnsboro, Nancy Moore of Winnsboro, and Brenda Hammond and her husband Jay of Mt. Vernon; sister, Janet Frazier of Durant, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Crystal Murphy, Steven Reid, Tim Moore, Alex Cook, and Jayda Hammond, along with eight great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX with Rev. Nub Brown conducting.
