Floyd Wayne Bowles

Floyd Wayne Bowles, born March 4, 1965, in Grand Saline, Texas, passed away peacefully on

July 28, 2024. Wayne, a cherished husband, father, and brother, was known for his deep love for

the outdoors, most notably the time he spent at the river bottom hunting and fishing.

Wayne was the beloved husband of Kerri Dossett Bowles, with whom he shared 21 years of

marriage. He was a dedicated father to their daughter, Hannah Bowles, who was the pride of his life.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Lynn Bowles and wife Becky of Mineola, Texas. He also

leaves behind his parents-in-law Glen and Darla Dossett and sisters-in-law Kristi and Kelli as

well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and

Nancy Oxford Bowles.

To know Wayne was to know that he would rather be in a deer stand or on the bank of the river

rather than a room of people focused on him. As such, a private memorial service will be held to

celebrate Wayne’s life at a later date. Honor his memory by doing his favorite things. Go

fishing. Make plans to go deer hunting. Spend some quiet time outdoors.

Floyd Wayne Bowles will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
