Francis E Ellis

Mr. Francis Ellis, of Winnsboro, Texas passed away on June 28, 2020. He had been a resident of Winnsboro since 1998 coming from Carrollton, Texas. Mr. Ellis was born on December 21, 1935 in Denton, Texas to Joseph and Willie Ellis. Mr. Ellis was past Master of Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge in Winnsboro, Hella Shrine, Sulphur Springs York Rite, Dallas Knights Templar and a Life Member of the VFW. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1956. Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents; wife Arlene Ellis; brothers Don, Alvin, John and Orville Ellis; sisters ILA Belle Brown, Norma John, Christine Jackson and Marie Lancaster. He is survived by his son Robert Charles Ellis; daughter Nancy Ellis; brother James H. Ellis; and the family wants to recognize his longtime and loving caregiver, Holly Cousin and her family he felt were his own. Holly Cousin and her husband Seth, and their children Carter, Zachery and Birdie. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. The funeral to celebrate his life will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2nd at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Nub Brown officiant. Burial follow the service at Cypress Cemetery in Franklin County.
