Francisco nació el 21 de julio de 1958 en Santo Tomás, Zacatecas, México, y estableció su hogar en Quitman, Texas, donde contribuyó apasionadamente a su comunidad como carpintero experto en Donavan White Cabinets.

Francisco fue un hombre profundamente espiritual y un miembro dedicado de la Iglesia Católica de San Pedro en Mineola. Participó activamente en los Caballeros de Colón, la Legión de María y sirvió como Acólito Instituido, demostrando siempre su fe inquebrantable y su compromiso con el servicio a los demás.

Francisco era un entusiasta maestro del BBQ y encontraba una enorme alegría en reunir a su familia alrededor de la parrilla, compartiendo no solo deliciosas comidas, sino también incontables recuerdos. También le sobreviven su amada madre, María Silva; sus hermanos Miguel Flores, Adolfo Flores y Juan Luis Silva; sus hermanas Cristina Delgadillo, Juanita Barriga y Elisa Flores; y un adorado legado de 15 nietos: Francisco H. Jr., Esmeralea, Francisco J., Camila, Cesar, Lucía, Victoria, Mónica, Aaron, Adrian, Mateo, Isabella, Aileen, Clara y Gabriel.

Francisco fue precedido en muerte por su padre, Sergio Zurita.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a presentar sus respetos y celebrar la vida de Francisco. La visita se llevará a cabo en Beaty Funeral Home en Mineola a partir de las 6:00 PM, seguida por un servicio de Rosario a las 7:00 PM. La Misa en celebración de la vida de Francisco tendrá lugar en la Iglesia Católica de San Pedro el 17 de diciembre de 2025 a las 11:00 AM, seguida por el sepelio en Roselawn Memorial Gardens en Mineola.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisco J. Zurita, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on December 11, 2025, at the age of 67. Francisco was born on July 21, 1958, in Santo Tomas, Zacatecas, Mexico, and made his home in Quitman, Texas, where he passionately contributed to his community as a skilled carpenter at Donavan White Cabinets.

Francisco was a deeply spiritual man and dedicated member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mineola. He actively participated in the Knights of Columbus, the Legion of Mary, and served as an Instituted Acolyte, consistently demonstrating his unwavering faith and commitment to serving others. 

Francisco was an enthusiastic BBQ pitmaster who took immense joy in gathering his family around the grill, sharing not only delicious meals but also countless memories. He was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers, relishing every moment spent watching the game and cheering on his team. Above all, he cherished attending his grandchildren's football and baseball games, where his pride in their accomplishments radiated brightly.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted spouse, Narcisa Zurita, and his cherished children, Francisco H. Zurita, Sr., Sergio Zurita, Victor Zurita, and Maria Zurita. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Maria Silva, his brothers Miguel Flores, Adolfo Flores, and Juan Luis Silva, his sisters Cristina Delgadillo, Juanita Barriga, and Elisa Flores, and an adoring legacy of 15 grandchildren: Francisco H. Jr., Esmeralea, Francisco J., Camila, Cesar, Lucia, Victoria, Monica, Aaron, Adrian, Mateo, Isabella, Aileen, Clara, and Gabriel.

Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Sergio Zurita.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Francisco's life. Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola starting at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 PM. A Mass celebrating Francisco's life will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Church on December 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
