Garthell Lindley

Mr. Garthell Lindley, age 81 of Leesburg, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 in Winnsboro. Garthell was born on July 22,1931 in Winnsboro to the late Mart William and Dorothy S. Winchester Lindley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving honorably during the Korean War. He married the former Pearl Bates on May 10, 1957 in Winnsboro. He owned and operated Lindley Plumbing in Winnsboro before retiring, and was a member of First Assembly of God in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters,Loretta and Lavonda Lindley; and sister, Lillie Lou Anders. He is survived by his loving wife, Pearl Lindley of Leesburg; sons, Jay Lindley of Winnsboro, Ronny Lindley and wife Terri of Leesburg; daughter, Wanda Green and husband Larry of Winnsboro; brother, D.W. Lindley of Leesburg; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
