Gary Rhoades

Mr. Gary Rhoades, age 77 of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Sulphur Springs. He was born on March 14, 1943 in Winnsboro to the late Earl Rhoades and Ollie Goolsby Rhoades.

Mr. Rhoades was a retired teacher, a member of Central Baptist Church and loved hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Rhoades. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Rhoades of Mt Vernon; son, John Rhoades and wife Nita of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Melanie Martin and husband, Robert of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Dusty Rhoades of Sherman; sisters, Dorothy Carroll of Colleyville and Loretta Hildebrandt of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, Tyler Rhoades, Brennan Rhoades, Garrett Rhoades, Gregory Burleson, Marshall Burleson, Tori Martin, Tobi Torres and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Rev. Keith Taylor and Rev. Gene Mattison conducting. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Tyler Rhoades, Brennan Rhoades, Garrett Rhoades, Rodney Rhoades, Richard Rhoades, Randy Rhoades serving as pallbearers.
