Gaston Eugene Benton

Graveside service for Gaston Eugene Benton will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Nub Brown officiating. Mr. Benton was born in the Oak Grove community in Wood County on October 31, 1933 to the late William Roy and Donnie (Lindley) Benton. Gaston graduated from Winnsboro High and had attended East Texas State University. Mr. Benton attended church at Smyrna Baptist. He retired in 1989 as a salesman for Transamerica. Once retired, Gaston enjoyed working around his farm. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Rita Benton; brother Billy Bob Benton. Mr. Benton is survived by his daughters, Tina Wilson (Nick) and Vicki Keanu(Alan); son, Paul Benton (Stephanie); brother J.D. (Bo) Benton (Sue); grandchildren, Brooke Wilson, Ashley Sickels (Shane), Josiah Benton (Lauren), Isaiah Benton, Riki Benton (Maddy), Kaleo Keanu (Justin Rendoni), Maile Keanu, and Morgan Ayala; great-grandchildren Roman Benton, Sawyer Sickels, Noah Youngman and Tanner Sickels.
