Gene Hunter

Mr. Gene Kelland Hunter of Mineola died Friday, January 8, 2016 in Mineola, at the age of 77. He was born, Monday, October 10, 1938 in Sherman, TX to the late Thurston Hunter and Margaret Dorman Hunter.

Gene was a Graduate of Southern Methodist University, a retired Insurance salesman and an Artist. He was a member of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Oak Cliff, TX and a former resident of Lancaster, TX having lived in Mineola for eight months.

Survivors include his daughters, Sherrie Gunter of Midlothian, TX, Angelique Brinkman of Houston, TX and Kelly VanDover of Mineola, TX; brother, Jim Hunter of Richardson, TX; sister, Shirley McCaffity of Garland, TX and nine grandchildren.
