George Lynn Carey died Monday, June 21, 2010 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Thursday, May 8, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkins where he lived for the last 35 years. He was an electrician by trade and a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He was a member of the Hawkins Volunteer Fire Department for several years and served his country in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; George Andrew Carey and Mildred Marie Davis Carey.
He is survived by his wife; Sherryl Carey of Hawkins, one son; Geoffrey Carey of Hawkins, one sister; Becky Carey of Hawkins and one granddaughter; Copelyn Carey of Hawkins.
