George Harold Watkins

Mr. George H. Watkins, Sr., age 69, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011. He was born in Cherokee, North Carolina on December 24, 1941 to Bill Watkins and Evangeline Beck. He was retired from the United States Air force after 25 years of honorable service. He attneded St. Ann's Catholic Church in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Watkins; father, Bill Watkins; son, Jeff Watkins; and brother, John Watkins. He is survived by his sons, George Watkins, Jr. and wife Rejeana, Mike Hagood and wife Laura, Mark Hagood and wife Rhonda; daughter Maggie Hagood and husband Brian Marquis; brothers, Ken Watkins, Mike, Gary, Tony, and Dennis Chappell; sisters, Bea Roach, Sherry Chappell; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
