George Hitz

Mr. George Hitz passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the age of 91. He was born on January 12, 1919 to the late Joe Hitz and Rose Yanko Hitz. Mr. Hitz was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, member of the Kiwanas Club in Winnsboro, The Elks of Rogers, AR, the Photographic Society of America, the Winnsboro Gun Club and a adhoc member of the Winnsboro Autumn Trails Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, George Robert Hitz, one brother and his first wife, Mollie Lou Barnes Hitz. Survivors include his wife, LaVonna Hayes Hitz of Winnsboro; sons, John Tilden Hitz of Plano and Laua Daniel Bearden of Bartlett; daughters, Nancy Lynn Ramsey of Richardson and Patricia Ann Abney of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
