George Lee Leonard

Mr. George L. Leonard age 75 of Winnsboro, passed away on November 11, 2009. He was born in Hollister, Oklahoma on December 1, 1933 to the late General Andrew Jackson Leonard and Addie Lee Calhoon Leonard. Mr. Leonard was the founder, owner, and president of the Leonard Training Programs and George Leonards School of Real Estate Training until retiriment, when he began cattle ranching in Winnsboro. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, and a member and past president of Wood County Crimestoppers. He was preceded in death by a son, George L. Leonard, II. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Jo Ann Anderson Leonard of Winnsboro; one son, Bryan Leonard of Winnsboro; one sister, Edith Price and husband Jim of Konawa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Gerald Leonard and wife Betty of Weatherford, Alvin Leonard and wife Linda of Copperas Cove; two step-sons, J.J. Waite and wife Valerie of Winnsboro, Jason Waite of Arlington; and three grandchildren.
