George D. Shewmake

George D. Shewmake, age 79, died Friday, November 12, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on Thursday, January 1, 1931 in Dunn, Texas to the late Amos W. and Rosetta Shewmake. He lived in Mineola since January of 2001, was a model train collector and a member of the Train Collectorâ?TMs Association.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ernestine Shewmake; four brothers, Leige Shewmake, John Shewmake, Amos Wilson Shewmake, Jr., Alford Shewmake; and a sister, Lena Cross.

He is survived by his lifelong friend, Calvin; dear friends, Dan and Shirley Cupp; three brothers, Elbert Shewmake, J.B. Shewmake, Marvin Shewmake; one sister, Christine Struder and numerous nieces and nephews.
