George William Watkins

Mr. George W. Watkins, age 54 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 in Tyler. He was born on August 12th, 1962 in Bexar County to George "Harold" Watkins and Vivian Leigh Owen Watkins. George worked as an automotive technician until retiring to Winnsboro, where he took over his father’s clock sales and repair business, Heirloom Clocks. He enjoyed horses and motorcycles, fishing and traveling the world. He was preceded in death by his father, George "Harold" Watkins; brother, Jeffrey Wade Watkins. He is survived by his mother, Vivian Leigh (Owen) Watkins of Winnsboro; son, Clinton William Watkins and wife Vanessa of Norfolk, VA.; daughter, Crystal (Watkins) Barrentine of Paris; three grandchildren, Logan Brant Ollive, Cutter Lane Ollive, and Peyton Nix Barrentine. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.
