Georgia Leah Hill

Georgia Leah Hill, age 84, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Saturday, June 11, 1927 in Haynes, Arkansas to the late Albert and Anna Mae Davis. She was a secretary for oil and gas company and a member of Holly Tree Chapel, and an avid golfer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer D. "Mickey" Hill who passed on Monday, September 26, 2005; three brothers, R.E. Davis, J.C. Davis and Billy Davis; and a sister, Iwanda Noel.

She is survived by two daughters, Patty Cox and husband Glen of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and Betty Hyde and husband Tom of Hayneville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Michelle Hyde Peel and husband Joe, Jacquelyn Hyde Word and husband Josh and Brandon Paul Young; and four great-grandchildren Beth Peel, Samantha Peel, Ian Word and Drew Wood.

Visitation for Ms. Hill will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins, Texas on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Holly Tree Chapel on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Mink officiating.
