Georgia Ann Rambo

Georgia Ann Rambo passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 74 in Winnsboro, Texas. Georgia Ann Rambo was born on June 30, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Raymond and Libbie Peters. Georgia Ann grew up in Corpus Christi. She attended Mary Carroll High School and Del Mar College. She was a member of the Czech Club at Texas A&M. Georgia Ann married Newell Vernon Rambo, Jr. on December 6, 1967. Together, they had three children, Tammy, Trey, and Tiffany. While the kids were young, she occasionally substitute taught at St. Joseph Middle School. Georgia Ann enjoyed cooking, barbequing, and spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were a great joy in her life. She was so proud of them. She loved teaching them how to cook and bake. Georgia Ann was proud of her Czech heritage. She was always up for an adventure.

Georgia Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Libbie Peters; her parents-in-law, Newell Vernon Rambo, Sr. and Esta Jochetz; her sister, Dollie; her brother Alphonse “Sonny”; her sister, Judy, and her sister, Leona.

Georgia Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years, Newell Vernon Rambo, Jr.; her children, Tammy Rambo (Mike), Trey Rambo, Tiffany (Mike) Chappell; and her honorary son, Gabriel Hernandez; her grandchildren Paige Williamson (Adrian Franco), Brooke Williamson, Kailey Rambo, Makenna Rambo, Luke Chappell, and Drayton Chappell.

Georgia Ann is also survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Peters, and many friends, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Hall at Ridgestone, 5550 Kostoryz Road, Corpus Christi, Texas from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
