Gerald Lee Kennedy

Gerald Lee Kennedy, age 77, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Saturday, September 15, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Charles and Sue Kennedy and raised in West Branch, Michigan. He honorably served in the United States Navy for 4 years and was discharged in 1955. He retired from General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan after 36 years of employment.

He was married for 56 years to Rosalie Kennedy, who survives him. Also surviving him; a daughter, Cindy Brown and her husband Kevin Brown; a son, Daniel Kennedy and his wife Theresa Kennedy; three grandchildren, Jason Brown, Taylor Brown and Andrew Kennedy; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Brown and Valerie Rose Kennedy; a step great-granddaughter, Haley Evans; and several nieces and nephews.

Gerald's parents, Charles Kennedy and Sue Chrysler predeceased him as well as two brothers and three sisters (Charles Kennedy, Jr., Lloyd Kennedy, Wanda Allen, Roma Rosa and Shirley Johnson.

Gerald was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for several years.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Father Ron Diegel officiating.
