Glenda Lu Clements

Glenda Lu Clements, 75 of Mineola, TX passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Mineola, TX. She was born on Wednesday, August 23, 1939 in Merkel, TX to the late Gaston and Edna Hobbs.

Glenda was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. She was past President of the Mineola Lions Club, past District Governor for the Mineola Pilot Club where she was Pilot of the year for 2015. Ms. Clements was the co-founder of the Mineola Caring and Sharing, past President of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce, past Director of the Mineola Civic Center, also board member of the Lake Country Play House and Mineola Woman of The Year.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Clements and brother, Victor Hobbs.

She is survived by two sons, Harvey R. Clements II and wife Tina of Mineola, TX, Edward Clements and wife Crystal of Sanger, TX; three daughters, Sherry Vann and husband Larry of Mineola, TX, Karen Williams and husband Michael of Mineola, TX, Lisa Broom and husband Blake of Union Town, AR; brother, Johnny Hobbs and wife Veta of Quitman, TX; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola, TX with Mr. Wayne Williams officiating.

Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX.
