Glenda Gay Scott

Glenda Gay Oxford Scott was born on July 24, 1940 to the late L.B. Oxford and Verna LaRue Oxford and passed away on December 28, 2021. She graduated from Mineola High School class of '58 and then married Bill Everett Scott on June 26, 1959. She was a member of First Baptist Church Mineola. She loved singing in the choir and attending Sunday School. She was a seamstress, a caterer (Scott Catering and Photography), and a travel agent. She was a people person and loved to bake and travel. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Bill E. Scott; daughters Gayla Scott Hale and husband John and Sheri Scott Phillips and husband Keith; grandsons JJ Hale (Haydee Soliman) and Scott Hale (Shiloah Hale); great grandson Jackson Hale and great granddaughter Zoe Hale; sisters LaVell Willis and Pam Joiner. Glenda was preceded in death by her brother Charles Gaylor Oxford. Memorial service will be held at a later date due to holidays and Covid.

In lieu of flowers, family ask donations to be made to Mineola Lions Club for there kindness to the residents of Wood Memorial Nursing Home.
