Glenn Robinson

July 7, 1945 — March 14, 2024

Glenn "Rabbit" Robinson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on July 7, 1945, in Wood County, Texas, to Idas and Zelma Deas Robinson.

Glenn grew up in the Coke Community and dedicated his life to hard work and commitment. He embarked on a fruitful career, beginning at Dallas Power and Light before transferring to TXU mining in Monticello, where he served as an engineer at the coal mine for an impressive 43 years.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Glenn was deeply engaged in his community and faith. He was a devout member of Lake Fork Baptist Church, finding solace and strength in his religious convictions.

In his leisure time, Glenn pursued various hobbies and interests, including cattle ranching as the proud owner of Rockin R Ranch. He had a passion for trains, enjoyed watching westerns on TV, and cherished moments spent dining at Texas Roadhouse.

Glenn's life was enriched by his marriage to June Johnson Robinson on November 26, 1964. Together, they shared many years of love and companionship until June's passing on April 29, 2003.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his daughters Kelley Price of Quitman and Tiffany Gilbreath and her husband, Kevin, also of Quitman. Glenn will be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Lindsey Price, Cassidy Alcorn, Tanner Gilbreath, Aubrey Gilbreath, and Hunter Gilbreath, as well as his six great-grandchildren, Jackalyn, Carlee June, Braxton, Riggin, Harlee, and Huxtyn Glenn.

In addition to his family, Glenn is survived by his longtime companion, Sue Blanton of Emory, and his cherished dog of over 14 years, Bailey.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, June Robinson, his brothers Grant, Bob, and Joe Robinson, and his sister, Melba Bruce. Though they have passed on, their memories will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved them.

Glenn "Rabbit" Robinson's life was a testament to hard work, faith, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
