Glynn Leslie Mitchell

MITCHELL Sr., Glynn Leslie (July 14, 1932 – July 23, 2023)

The family of Glynn Leslie Mitchell, Sr. of Mineola, Texas is saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, July 23rd at the age of 91 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Emily Ruth (Vaugh); children, Nancy Lynn Cook (Jay E), and Glynn Leslie, Jr. (Muna L); grandchildren, Emily Ann Cook, Skylar Armstrong Mitchell, Sarah Ann Mitchell, and Abigail Renae Mitchell, as well as numerous treasured friends.

Glynn was born in Overton,Texas, moving to Dallas as a child, graduated Sunset High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a 32 nd degree Mason, Past Worthy Patron of OES, Rotarian and involved in various civic and service

organization. He was a restaurateur, plumber, exterminator, entrepreneur and for the past 30 years, a resident of Mineola,Texas and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday July 29th, at Broad Street Church of Christ with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 3:00 pm, located at 440 W. Broad St., Mineola, TX 75773.
