Mrs. Gracie Lafern Cook, age 81 of Gilmer, passed away on Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 at her home in Gilmer. She was born on August 12th, 1938 in Crockett to the late Leslie Lee Huff and Eunice Taylor Huff. Mrs. Cook was a retired plant supervisor for the Ditto Group in Winnsboro. While she was unable to physically attend church regularly she loved to watch her church on TV and rarely missed a Sunday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Larue Cook; son, Rusty Cook and daughter, Connie Cook. She is survived by her son, Chuck Cook and his wife Martha of Winnsboro; daughter, Vicki Lynn Gibbs of Gilmer; sisters, Martha Huff of Gilmer, Doris McCauley and Jeanette Mahan both of Granbury; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola at 2:00 pm with Bro. Tim Harris conducting, interment will follow at Golden Cemetery in Golden, with Dustin Larue Harris, Rusty Cook, Eric Gibbs, Larry Brown, Terry Duvall, Taylor Duvall and Jessica Gibbs serving as pallbearers.
