H. Dean Moore

H. Dean Moore was born December 7, 1926 in Pontotoc, Texas to V W and Ruby Simpson Moore. He served in WWII in both the 808th and the 872nd in the Pacific theater; both in Okinawa and later Tokyo Japan. After military service he owned and operated several restaurants and automobile dealerships in West Texas; and eventually married Jean Ann Williams of Arbala, TX and moved to East Texas. Mr. Moore fathered three children, Randall Moore of Sulphur Springs, Sharla-Rhea Powell of Winnsboro, and Steven Moore of Arkansas. Grandchildren include Cody Moore of Bedford, TX, Tara Moore of Stephenville, TX, and Ashley Yarbrough of Frisco, TX. Mr. Moore was a past president of The Elks Lodge of Midland, TX; a four time recipient of the prestigious Ford 500 Top Sales award, and was an active hunter and fisherman. He had retired to the Winnsboro area prior to his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Jean Ann Moore in 1993. Arrangements are scheduled with Beaty Funeral Home; 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX. 75494 Graveside services are scheduled for 11am on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Arbala Cemetery in Arbala.
