Harold Eugene Mays

Mr. Harold E. Mays passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the age of 78. He was born on August 23, 1934 to the late Henry Eugene Mays and Maurine Dodson Mays. Mr. Mays worked for the U.S. Mail, Rockwell, and the Winburn Milk Company. He was a member of the Pickton Methodist Church, where he served as song leader for several years. He served as a Scout Master, served on the Pickton Water Board, member of the Woodman of the World, served on the Pickton Cemetery Association, served the Pickton Community Center and Volunteered with the Como Pickton Special Olympics. Mr. Mays was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Joyce Mays. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jo Ruth Mays of Pickton; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Geneal Mays of Missouri, TX, and Terry and Heidi Mays of Winnsboro; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Mabe of Sulphur Springs and Gina and Brad McCord of Pickton; sister, Geraldine Maddux of Sulphur Springs; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
