Hattie L. Ross

Mrs. Hattie L. Ross passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the age 103. She was born on November 18, 1907 to the late William Lee Allen and Ester Elizabeth Webb Allen. Mrs. Ross married Mr. Marvin Maple Ross on August 23, 1929 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1958. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro where she served with hospitality. Mrs Ross was the keynote speaker at the 2009 Winnsboro Chamber Banquet. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Carl Welch and great grandson, Brant Ross Draper. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Ray Richter Walters of Winnsboro and Linda Jill and Johnny Shipman of Salado; grandchildren, Buddy and Patti Walters, Connan and Shelley Welch, Chad and Christine Welch, Brandon and Kara Walters, Lisa and Stephen Price and Carlinda and Joe Rex; twelve great grandchildren, Daniel, Jackie, Blake, Josh, Kassidy, Amanda, Tyler, Rachel, Devon, Sean, Jace and Sebastian; one great great grandchild, Ryleigh Faith.
