Mrs. Hazel L. Spence, age 77 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012. She was born on October 16, 1934 in Johnson County to the late William B. and Bernice L. Hanson Davis. She was a retired candle maker and homemaker, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Joe Bryan Davis, Sr.; and son, Russell Wayne Davis. She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Charles E. Spence of Winnsboro; son, Joe Bryan Davis, Jr. and wife Lucille of Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada; daughter, Deborah Kay McClintock and husband Charlie of Richardson; brothers, Maurice Davis of DeSoto, W.B. "Dub" Davis of Arlington, Jim Davis of Carrolton; sisters, Dorothy Lantz of Dallas, Carol Davis of Waxahachie; four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
