Hazle Busby, age 87 of Winnsboro, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family at her side, on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Hazle was born in Camp County on September 26, 1927 to the late Acie Boyd Nelson, Sr. and Ona Smith Nelson. Hazle was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro. She and her late husband Buford Busby, owned and operated a successful dairy farm until their retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Buford Busby; second husband, R.T. Griffin; four sisters,Nannie Jo Comer, Gladys Brewster, Bobbie Dixon, and Katherine Searcy. She is survived by her son, Jerry Mack Busby and wife Debbie of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Charlene Carr of Winnsboro, Roxann Garvin and husband Mike of Winnsboro; one brother, A.B. Nelson, Jr. and wife Billie Faye of Pittsburg; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses; Jimmy and Stephanie Busby, Brian and Cynthia Busby, Jaime and Michael Ellison, Greg and Melissa Busby, Brad and Angela Carr, Angie and Dixon Pearce, Amy and Joel Newsom, Amberly and Landis Klika, D.J. and Katy Carr, Chance and Heather Garvin, Gabrielle and Randall Douglas, Windy and Jeremy Grissom, and MadieAnn Ivy Garvin; and thirty-five great-grandchildren. Hazle was a very special lady, and loved by everyone that knew her.
