Helen Joyce Megason

Helen Joyce Megason, 87, of Springtown, TX died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Plano TX. She was born Tuesday, April 20, 1926 in Wortham, Texas to the late Fayette and Cora Wallace.

Ms. Megason was the Director of Nurses at Wood Memorial Nursing Home, Mineola for many years. She also opened the Colonial Nursing Home in Lindale, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Megason; sister, Bobbie Faye Dillard; one grandson, Jason Lynn Megason.

Survivors include two sons, George Lynn Megason and wife Debbie of Springtown, TX and Samuel Terry Megason of Azle, TX; daughter, Pamela Megason Scoggins of Plano, TX; two grandchildren, Julie E. Scoggins and Phillip Megason; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 AM, Friday, November 15, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Graveside service will follow visitation at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX.
