Mr. Henry "Hank" Alaniz, age 72, of Scroggins, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 in Tyler. He was born on October 29, 1934 in Dallas, Tx., to the late Reynaldo and Tomasa Rivera Alaniz. He married Gloria Thompson on November 2, 1963 in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Army During the Korean Conflict. He was a retired optician, a member of the V.F.W. Post 6796, a member of the Masonic Lodge 1351 in Dallas, and a member of these bands throughout life, "Strange Arrangement", "Vibratones", "Country Gentleman, and most recently, "Scroggins Bottom Boys". He was preceded in death by, his parents, two brothers, Richard and Fred Alaniz, one sister, Dora Walker. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gloria Alaniz of Scroggins; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Alaniz and Mary Williams; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Ruben and Glenda Alaniz of Waxahachie, David and Glenda Alaniz of Dallas; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Irene Alaniz of Dallas, Alice and Dave Craddock of Emory, Gloria and Reyno Regalado of Garland, OraLia "LaLa" and Al Cantu of Duncanville; three grandchildren, Tara, Eden, and Caitlin Williams; and two great-grandchildren.
