Herman Lee Peace

Dr. Herman Lee Peace, Sr., age 89, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Thursday, December 7, 1922 in Rockwall, Texas to the late Harry and Martha Peace. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII and was a member of Hawkins Masonic Lodge #1293.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Peace; and a brother J. F. Peace.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Peace of Ft. Worth, and Herman Peace, Jr. and wife Gail of Midland, Texas; a daughter, Susan Fitzgerald and husband Michael; a sister, Vera Lofland of Wills Point, Texas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Hawkins, Texas at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Hicks and Rev. Robert Young officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Rockwall, Texas at 3:00 PM.
