Obituary

Holly Roxanne Gill, born on January 29, 1983 in Henderson, Texas, passed peacefully at home on April 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Holly loved her country childhood, picking honeysuckle, swimming at the lake, riding horses with her mom, chasing fireflies with her sister and brother.

Holly's life was devoted to caring for her family and friends, especially doting on children and animals. Caring and nurturing, Holly found her greatest joy in the laughter and company of her niece, godchildren, and 4-legged furbabies. She enjoyed cooking familiar comfort foods and experimenting with recipes, excited to try new things. Holly enjoyed the simple things in life, grateful for her blessings.

Holly was a beautiful, bright spirit. She was truly special, with a pure heart and kind soul. She saw the good in everyone and every creature.

Holly leaves behind a loving family and community of friends she cherished. Holly loved every person who was a part of her life. With compassion, deep empathy, and good humor, Holly cared for your struggles, always supportive and cheering. She is dearly missed by those who were lucky to know and love her. Her beautiful light now shines with her mother.

She is survived by her adoring father, William Gill; sister, Heather Hills; brother, James Gill; niece, Marlee Gill; her best friend, Amanda Carr; godchildren, Damon and Phanesa Turlington; grand-godson Zaiden Turlington; and her 4-legged kids, Bailey, Brownie, Freya, and Wiffles.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, mother Pamela Harding, and beloved friend Carmen Singletary.
