Homer A. Smith

Mr. Homer Alexander Smith passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the age of 91. He was born on May 15, 1915 to the late William Thomas Smith and Alice Craver Smith. Mr. Smith was a 1935 graduate of U.T. in Austin, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and married the former Dale Dickey on August 3, 1941. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro and the Winnsboro Lions Club; and served as a former Mayor of Winnsboro and a former Winnsboro I.S.D. Board Member. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mrs. Dale Smith of Winnsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Smith and Ben G. Raimer of Galveston and Janet Smith and Russell T. Kelley of Austin; five grandchildren, Anna Raimer McDonald and her husband Damien k., David William Raimer, Lauren Allison Raimer, Russell T. Kelley, Jr. and his wife Emily and Kristyn Michelle Kelley.
