Hubert Earl “Tooter” Pool, of Yantis, released his spirit unto Heaven on September 28, 2021. He was a man of the Baptist faith and lived his life for his family. Mr. Pool was a Dairyman for many years and a workaholic. Even in retirement, he really didn’t retire. Hubert never let the dust settle on his shoes. Always working, tending to his chickens, and helping others was his way of enjoying retirement. Hubert was born on September 10, 1947, in Mt. Vernon, Texas to the late Hubert and Margie (Hale) Pool. He married the love of his life Doris Jean “Tooter” Lindley and the two of them enjoyed 55 years of marriage as Mr. and Mrs. Pool. The two of them affectionately called each other “Tooter”. Survivors include his wife Doris “Tooter”; daughter, Thressa Weems and husband Jackie, daughter Stacey Wetzel and husband Brad; grandchildren, David Kull, Krista Kull, Shelby Goodman, Ashley Pacheco, Chelsey Kirkendall, Josey Turner, Montana Wetzel, Sadie Wetzel, and Shyann Wetzel; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Oxford and Linda Smith; nieces, Becky Sparks and Amy Wright; nephew, James Carr. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 2nd at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate his life will be in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, October 3rd beginning at 1:00 p.m., Bro. Nub Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery.
